Bishop Volodymyr Hrutsa (; born 19 August 1976 in Dobromyl, Lviv Oblast, Ukrainian SSR) is a Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Ukrainian Greek Catholic hierarch as the Titular Bishop of Bahanna and Auxiliary bishop of Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Lviv, Lviv since 14 January 2016. Life Bishop Hrutsa, after graduation of the school education, joined the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer in 1994; he had a Profession (religious), profession on 19 August 1995 and a solemn profession on 19 August 2001, and was ordained as priest on 12 July 2001, after graduation of the Major Redemptorists Theological Seminary in Tuchów, Poland and Pontifical University of John Paul II, Pontifical Theological Academy in Kraków, Poland. Then he continued his studies in the University of Innsbruck, Austria with Doctor of Sacred Theology degree. Sviatoslav Shevchuk (; born 5 May 1970 in Stryi, Ukrainian SSR) is a Catholic Church in Ukraine, Ukrainian Catholic prelate who has served as the Ukrainian Catholic Major Archeparchy of Kyiv–Galicia, Major Archbishop of Kyiv–Galicia and Primate (bishop), Primate of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) since 25 March 2011. At the time he was born, the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church was illegal under the Soviet Union. His parents and grandparents were devout Catholics and active in the Underground Church. He recalled that on a family trip to the Orthodox shrine of Pochaev around 1985, he prayed before an icon of the Theotokos, expressing his desire to become a priest. A couple of years later, while studying medicine in the city of Boryslav, he began to attend a secret seminary in Yaremche, in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains.
